DRILLING FLUID: Syndril family of products
Syndril-790, Syndril 810 and SynDril™
The Syndril family is a premium base oil for Western Canadian Producers. It is designed for those producers who want to maximize drilling efficiency while at the same time, improving health, safety and environmental practices. It is the latest advancement in drilling oil base fluid.
Some benefits:
- It is a Mineral Oil specially formulated to respond to the demanding conditions of Western Canadian Drilling.
- Reduced Toxicity
- Faster biodegradation at significantly higher hydrocarbon concentrations
- Faster, safer rig clean-up
- Improves BOP seal life
- Reduces corrosion (as a rust inhibitor).
- 4% of any SynDril fluid will reduce bit balling in water based drilling systems
- No adverse health effects provided it is used as directed

Properties of SynDril-810 include:
- Flash Point (ASTM D 92) of 80°C
- Density (at 15°C) Kg/m3 is 812
- Pour point (ASTM D 07.) is -40°C
